"Great Egg-Spectations" is the sixty-ninth episode of Goof Troop, and the fourth episode to premiere on ABC's Saturday morning line-up.

Synopsis

Wanting a pet to own, Max finds a huge Loch Ness Monster egg and it hatches into a baby Loch Ness Monster, plus Max names it Bubbles. But then, he has trouble keeping Bubbles out of trouble.

• Bubbles and Bubbles' mother resemble both the Loch Ness Monster and Elliott, the green dragon from Disney's live-action/animated anthology film Pete's Dragon.
• The episode's title is a parody of Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations.
• This was the only episode of Goof Troop to receive a Little Golden Book adaptation.
• In its printed illustration version, Pistol Pete, in question, is omitted.
