Grem is one of the two tertiary antagonists (alongside Acer) of the 2011 Disney•Pixar animated film Cars 2.

"Grem is a dented, rusty orange AMC Gremlin. After years of being dismissed for his design, even rudely being called a "lemon", Grem has a big chip on his fender that has led him to the underworld of international espionage. As a henchman for his villainous boss, Professor Z, Grem and his partner-in-crime Acer are trying to sabotage the World Grand Prix and the famous race cars competing in it. When Grem and Acer mistake Mater for an American agent with important top-secret information, the ruthless lemons set out on a global chase to stop Mater from foiling their evil scheme."
Physical description
Grem is painted orange, with black hockey stripes. He has gray mirrors and headlights, as well as a black grille and modeled after a 1974 AMC Gremlin. He has a top speed of 91 mph, and a 0-60 of 17 seconds. His engine is a 232 CID inline-6 with a one-barrel carburetor and 90 horsepower. His license plate reads WREKD, short for "wrecked". It is the same of Tyler Gremlin's and his tires read Rollingstop.
Personality
Grem is a rude, ruthless, sadistic, violent, and evil cold-hearted car, as he is working with Professor Z in hopes of destroying the World Grand Prix. He is the more serious and smarter one between himself and Acer.
He is also sadistic henchman who worked along side his buddy, Acer. He and Acer both are wrathful as they like hurting other cars, as well as how he wanted Lightning McQueen killed.

Weapons and Gadgets
- Missile Launcher: In the airport escape, Grem reveals a missile launcher on his right side. He launches it at Finn McMissile, but Finn launches a missile at that one, and they take out each other. He uses it that one time in the film.
- Deployable Machine Gun: Located on the opposite side of the missile launcher. In an attempt to get Lightning McQueen and Mater in London, he and Acer got out their weapons revealing Grem has a machine gun on his left side.

Cars 2
He is at the oil rig in the beginning of the film. Later in Tokyo, he and Acer find the American spy named Rod "Torque" Redline. And together, they damage him pretty badly. He takes the spy back to Professor Z, and stands by watching as the spy explodes after putting Allinol in him and using their weapon to kill him. Later, Grem and Acer chase Mater and Finn McMissile at the airport. They are also seen present at the lemon meeting. Grem and Acer are also the ones who use the weapon during all the races. During the last race, they tease Mater for not being able to save Lightning McQueen as they fire the weapon at him. But fortunately, it doesn't work. Near the end of the film, he and Acer were beaten up by the British cars at the "Ye Left Turn Inn". It is unknown what happened to them afterward, but he probably is arrested in London along with Acer and the other lemons
Video games
Cars 2: The Video Game
In Cars 2: The Video Game, Grem is an unlockable playable character, available once access to Clearance Level 3 is granted. He is a light weight, and consists of more speed than power.
Appearing in the opening scene of the game, Grem and Acer are guarding a room on the oil rig, where Zündapp and his henchmen kidnapped Finn McMissile, however when Mater arrived to rescue Finn to defeat the Professor and his employees. Zündapp with Grem and Acer escape from Finn and Mater, but near the end of the opening Grem and Acer die being blown up with the other members of the Lemons.
In the Tokyo level, Grem and Acer challenge the player and Nigel Gearsley in a battle race, in the Lemons invasion level in Italy, Grem and Acer chat with a green Hugo and a yellow Trunkov, while in the Japan Hunter mode Grem appears with Acer and a green Hugo, in London, he and Acer have a giant missile weapon that can cause massive destruction.
Disney INFINITY
Grem can be seen in concept art for Disney Infinity, despite not appearing in the actual game.
Relationships
Acer
Acer is Grem's partner-in-crime and best,He with Acer had an entire organization of allies that assisted Professor Z and Miles Axlerod in making sure that cars would hate Allinol and would switch back to regular fuel.
Professor Zündapp
in the film, Professor Zündapp is Grem's boss and the second-in comand of the Lemons, likewise Grem is loyal to him and the main henchcar, excepting when he with Acer didn't kill Lightning McQueen in London with the EMP Weapon.
Finn McMissile
He was one of Finn McMissile's worst enemies, at the Haneda Airport chase, Grem fires a Missile Launcher to kill Finn, but he throws Grem and shoots against Grem's missile during the chase.
Rod "Torque" Redline
At the bathrooms of the Tokyo National Art Center, he founds that Rod Redline spied on them and fights against them, he with acer angrilly asks to Redline that how "betrayed" them and also Grem was sadistic to make him to smile at the WGP Camera.
Mater
After Redline and the Lemons fight at the Tokyo National Art Center bathrooms, he lied to Mater that was about business and also he was happy that Mater was kidnapped by the Lemons about to kill Lightning McQueen.

- On his Disney Store die-cast model, Grem is simply named "Gremlin", implying that it's possible he had a simpler name in concept.
- Grem's tires say "Rolling Stop".
- There is a costume of him on The World of Cars Online, which you can get from Ramone's House of Body Art.
- In the Cars 2 magazine with the 56-page Cars 2 Movie Comic, when Holley stops him and Acer from getting Lightning and Mater, instead of ending up in "Ye Left Turn Inn", they landed in a garbage truck.
- Grem, along with Acer, Professor Z, Miles Axlerod and Victor Hugo, are playable in Cars 2: The Video Game, even though they are villains. However, it could be that they are part of the simulation.
- Grem's LEGO depicts him in red livery. For some reason, it shows him with brown eyes instead of green eyes like in his other appearances.
- His second LEGO was revised in orange livery in the Oil Rig Escape set.
- Grem's name originates from the first four letters of the word "Gremlin".
- His Polish name is Al Scarpetta. In Polish "skarpeta" means "sock".
