"Groot's Snow Day" is the eighth episode of the Disney+ streaming television shorts series I Am Groot and was released on September 6, 2023. It was written and directed by Kirsten Lepore.
Synopsis[]
After landing on the icy planet of Falligar, Groot fashions a snowman with scraps of junk, inadvertently creating an unstoppable snowman-robot that wreaks havoc.
Plot[]
Groot is making himself a cup of hot cocoa, which apparently is too hot for him, when the ship lands on Falligar, a planet covered in snow. Groot gets off and starts to enjoy himself in the new environment. After making a simplistic snowman, he gets parts from the ship and proceeds to build a bionic light up snowman that quickly turns evil and starts attacking Groot. When the snowman proceeds to go after the ship, Groot begins to throw snowballs at it and exposes a vital piece in its head. Groot hits it, sending the snowman rocketing into the air where it explodes. Groot happily uses a metal piece to slide back tot he ship, but one of the snowman's eyeballs lights up.
Later, Groot takes another sip of his hot cocoa and burns his tongue again, causing him to knock it off the table where he accidentally hits an off-screen Rocket.

- The killer snowman takes many ques from The Terminator.
- This is the second I Am Groot short to feature Rocket Raccoon, though in this case he is off screen.
