Groot is a character who appears in the Marvel Comics animated series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He is a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy from an unknown world. This version is very large, nearly the size of a tree, and shows the ability to regenerate himself at will.
Groot was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Larry Lieber.
Role in the series[]
Groot appears along with the rest of the Guardians in "Michael Korvac" searching for the cosmic fugitive Michael Korvac. They are forced to battle the Avengers for him, until they were able to make it clear to them that Michael Korvac was a threat to sentient life.
