"Guaka Rules" is the forty-first episode of The Emperor's New School.
Synopsis[]
After going on a field trip, Mr. Moleguaco finds out that Guaka's the rightful emperor. Kuzco and Malina decide to find a chalice that will make Kuzco emperor again. Meanwhile, Kronk and Yzma decide to destroy Guaka like they tried to destroy Kuzco in the movie.
Plot[]
The episode starts with Kuzco and his classmates going to the museum. As Kuzco gets bored, Mr. Moleguaco explains the Chalice of Eternal Power, and whoever drinks from it and breathes blue fire is the one, true emperor. As Kuzco plays the xylophone on a breastplate with Guaka wearing it, the class looks at a ancient tablet. When Kuzco knocks Guaka into the tablet, Kronk sneezes and blows away dust, revealing more on the other side. Mr. Moleguaco reads the inscription and discovers that Kuzco's ancestor ruled as emperor as a decoy to protect the true royal family. He then discovers Guaka is the true emperor and he is immediately made ruler.
Later, Kuzco tries to convince Guaka to return the throne to him, especially since he didn't graduate. However, Guaka reveals that he already graduated, but stayed in school to be close to Kuzco. Meanwhile, Kronk informs Yzma about Guaka, and she decides to get the job as his advisor so she can get rid of him and become empress. After Guaka becomes emperor, he starts to rule like Kuzco did in the movie, even renaming the school after him, making Kuzco his sidekick, and even forces Malina to marry him by threatening to turn her family's home into a store.
Remembering the Chalice of Eternal Power, Kuzco and Malina decide to find it in a attempt to put Kuzco back in power. The Royal Record Keeper gives them a scroll from Kuzco's great-great-grandfather in case there was a challenge to the throne, which will lead them to the chalice. They head to the museum and and find a map that leads to the chalice. Meanwhile, Yzma reveals her plan to get rid of Guaka to Kronk, which is based off her original idea to get rid of Kuzco in the movie, only they would turn Guaka into a llama on purpose. Kronk states this failed last time, but agrees to help when Yzma tells him to make Tuna Puffs instead of Spinach Puffs.
Soon, Kuzco and Malina arrive at the llama fountain. After discovering one of the llama's feet has an extra toe, Malina pushes it and opens a trap door leading to a secret tunnel. They follow the tunnel to a large door and open it by playing a song on a bone xylophone. Meanwhile, Yzma begins her plan to turn Guaka into a llama, but fails because Guaka remembered what she did to Kuzco and brought his own water. Kuzco and Malina find a room full of chalices and the Royal Chalice Keeper challenges them to find the Chalice of Eternal Power. They choose one and return to the palace. Guaka orders the guards to prepare Malina for the wedding and execute Kuzco. Kuzco accuses Guaka of not being the true emperor, but he tries to drop him down a trap door. Kuzco then reveals the chalice and drinks from it. At first, nothing happens. But then Kuzco breathes out blue fire, proving he's the true emperor. Malina then deduces Yzma planted a fake message on the tablet to put Guaka in power in an attempt to manipulate him, but didn't account on Guaka going mad with power. Yzma and Kronk then reveal themselves and confirm her suspicions.
Before anyone could react, Yzma throws a potion on the floor and floods the throne room with a magical pink whirlpool and escapes with Kronk. Fortunately, Kuzco, Malina, and Guaka manage to escape and stop Yzma.
During the end credits, Kuzco drinks from the chalice again and breathe blue fire until the end.
