Star-Lord and Gamora return to the Collector’s Fortress to retrieve a special artifact, Quill’s precious boombox. Looking to avoid discovery, they ignite a lively party vibe, enlisting everyone gathered around to help out and show off the guests' favorite dance moves in a rockin’ Dance Off.
And for the first time on Terra (what aliens call Earth,) they’ll encounter Groot. He arrives on the scene just as the Dance Off is wrapping up, but is happy to stay for a while and visit with everyone as Star-Lord and Gamora make their escape.
Unlike Disney California Adventure, this is a good chance to join Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians as they leave their space adventures behind and join guests like you for an interstellar showcase like no other — complete with a DJ, live music, and dances inspired by the popular film series.
Epcot version[]
After saving their world from certain destruction, Peter Quill—a.k.a. Star Lord—brokered a deal with Nova Prime and the Xandarian government to bring an outreach program to his home planet. The purpose? To share Xandar’s rich heritage and culture with Earth’s people.
As luck would have it, Peter informed Xandar’s leaders that there’s already a place on Earth with a similar mission…a theme park called Epcot, where all of Earth’s cultures are celebrated. So, as part of their first outreach, Xandar has sent some of their most talented performers to showcase their music!
On May 2023, Mantis joined the show with Quill and Gamora, in conjunction with the release of the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. On July 2024, Deadpool replaced Mantis and joined the show, in conjunction with the release of the film Deadpool & Wolverine.
