Hal is Asha's beaming buddy who manages to bring a little joy to almost every situation. Hal has the admirable ability to always look on the bright side. Even when she's nervous or scared, she smiles.[1]

Hal is a teenage girl with dark skin, brown eyes, lips, and black pixie-cut hair. She wears an orange headband, a black cord necklace with a small white shell, yellow hoop earrings, a yellow shirt underneath a blue tunic with light blue triangular-patterned trims, baggy blue pants with golden sparkles, and black boots. She also wears a yellow and dark blue triangular-patterned sash around her waist.
