Hallie Todd is an American actress, acting coach, and teacher. She is best known known for playing Jo McGuire in Lizzie McGuire. Her other Disney roles include Lucy in The Golden Girls, Michelle Thompson in The Ultimate Christmas Present, Summer Gale in Kim Possible, and Dr. Phyliss in Brandy & Mr. Whiskers.
Todd was born in Los Angeles, California and attended Palisades Charter High School and the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts where she studied to be an actress like her mother, Ann Morgan Guilbert.
Beginning her career at a young age, Todd would appear in various television shows, which include Growing Pains, The Golden Girls, Murder, She Wrote, Highway to Heaven, Going Places, Diagnosis: Murder, Two of a Kind, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Her longest serving role in sitcom comes from her role as Penny Waters in Brothers from 1984 to 1989.
Todd has also appeared in films, such as The Mooring, An American Girl: Lea to the Rescue, and The Last Champion as well as authoring two books: Being Young Actors and Parenting The Young Actor.
