"Hamnesia" is the first segment of the fourteenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series, Hamster & Gretel.
Synopsis[]
Hamster gets amnesia after a supervillain fight.
Plot[]
Following a battle with Record Scratch, Hamster has developed amnesia after being struck by a truck, and is taken by a young boy named Billy to his home. The two grow closer to each other as Hamster helps Billy overcome his fears of climbing Oakey and playing catch. Meanwhile, Kevin and Gretel go around town searching for Hamster, in the process learning about his various hobbies including painting, performing live with musicians, and visiting Easter Island.
When Hamster lifts an electric fence after Billy's ball gets stuck under it, Kevin finds him and attempts to convince Billy that Hamster belongs to him and his family. The encounter (or more specifically, Hamster's love of cabbage) restores the rodent's memory. However, Billy reveals that he is actually an adult villain named the Imposter. The villain reveals he had planned everything from the beginning, including the fight with Record Scratch, to have Hamster lose his memory and use Hamster's kindness in order to gain access to a tank, which he will use to terrorize the city. Gretel, who conveniently happens to be flying over a trapped Hamster and Kevin, arrives to rescue them, and the three are able to thwart the villain's plans thanks to Hamster's ability to fly.
