Trivia[]
- This episode marks three big firsts for Toodles: the first time he has a face, a voice (Rob Paulsen), and joins in the Hot Dog Dance.
- This was also the fourth episode in which the 'Mystery Mousketool' was chosen first.
- Even if Toodles has a face, it doesn't show in the other episodes after this one except for "Road Rally", "Space Adventure", the minisodes of Mickey's Mousekersize, and Season 4 onwards. This is because these episodes were aired out of production/chronological order.
- Toodles is revealed to have been originally an alarm clock.
- When Goofy remarks seeing a cake at every birthday party, he says, "Co-inky-dink, I think not," which is a reference to The Incredibles, where Bernie Kropp is accusing Dash Parr of putting thumbtacks on his seat in which he thinks that Dash moving and thumbtacks appearing on his seat is not a coincidence, and that Dash was the one who put the thumbtacks on his seat.
- Toodles is fully called four times. for the Mystery Mousketool (strawberries, to decorate the cake with), a Kite (for pin the tail on the donkey), a Broom (for the limbo stick), and to make him come out for his big surprise.
- This episode was produced in 2009, according to the credits.
- When Toodles blows out his candle, he doesn't use his mouth. Instead, he only uses a fan to blow the candle off the cake and make the candle, some of the frosting, and some of the strawberries go all over Donald's face.
- This is because of Toodles' robotic nature and his face being a screen.
- When Mickey says the usual lines for Toodles and the mystery mousketool, the audio recordings were taken from Mickey Saves Santa.
- Toodles first got his face at exactly 7:39 of of the episode and spoke his first words at 20:41 of the episode.
- At the near end of the episode, or 22:10, Mickey actually does the HDD, just not on the platform.
End credits[]
- Recapping where the shape tools went in the Mouseketool Box and wishing Toodles a happy birthday.
