Happy Valley is the main setting for the Fun and Fancy Free segment Mickey and the Beanstalk. During the story, a magic harp that makes people happy is stolen and the entire land became nothing but a barren wasteland called "Gruesome Gulch". Eventually, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy rescue the Harp from Willie the Giant, restoring the land to its happy state.
