Harold the Mummy is the tetartagonist of the Disney Channel Original Movies, Under Wraps, its remake, and subsequent sequel Under Wraps 2. He is a mummy that is brought to life by three kids.
Background[]
Personality[]
Harold comes off as a frightening entity due to his appearance. In actuality, he is a very kind and charming mummy, with an almost dog-like naiveté about himself. Despite where he came from and being shocked by his new surroundings, his first instinct was to help Marshall, Gilbert, and Amy when they lost something (glasses in the original, flashlight in the remake). Harold responds to the modern world with a sense of confusion and wonder and has a habit of being easily distracted. While his reactions can come off as frantic, he is tends to remain calm in most situations. He is also a hopeless romantic as he longs for his lost love Rose.
Physical appearance[]
Harold is the typical image of a mummy, wrapped in frantically done bandages that seem to cover him for a finite amount. He is adorned with an amulet that he hides under his bandages, though occasionally takes out. He has a heavily emaciated face when visible with rotted teeth.
Trivia[]
- In the 1997 original, his favorite song is "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen.
- In the 2021 remake, his favorite food is hot sauce.
- The original film didn't offer a reason as to why he is named Harold. The remake rectifies this by having it be the name of Marshall's grandfather.
