Harrison Ford is an American actor and producer, who is best known for his roles as Han Solo in the original Star Wars film trilogy, as well as Indiana Jones in the film series of the same name, both collaborating with George Lucas and Lucasfilm, and both are currently owned by Disney after its acquisition of Lucasfilm. He reprised his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. He also reprised his role as Indiana Jones for the final time in the 2023 film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
His other Disney contributions include playing Quinn Harris in the 1998 Touchstone Pictures film Six Days, Seven Nights and John Thornton in the 2020 Fox film The Call of the Wild. He also portrayed President Thaddeus Ross in the 2025 Marvel film Captain America: Brave New World, replacing the late William Hurt.[1]

- Ford was originally considered and the first choice for the role of Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. However, due to his cost, he was too expensive for the part.[2]
- He was also later considered for the voice role of Roger Rabbit, before losing the role to Charles Fleischer.[3]
- He was also considered to voice Kerchak in Tarzan.[4]
- Footage of Ford in his famous role as Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark can be seen in the 2005 Disney animated feature film Chicken Little.
- Ford approached Marvel Studios about having a role in the MCU, which lead to him being cast as Thaddeus Ross/Red Hulk for Captain America: Brave New World, replacing William Hurt.[5]
