"Hear My Voice" is a song from the DuckTales episode, "Louie's Eleven!". It is sung by the Three Caballeros and later appears as a solo sung by Donald Duck to Daisy.
Summary[]
The song contains several meanings that fit with the theme of the episode. Donald feels like he is being ignored by everyone including his own band-mates and his nephews. It also does not help that Donald's voice is hard to understand at times. Daisy also feels ignored by her boss Emma Glamour but can understand Donald's voice just fine. When he sings, instead of hearing his usual duck voice, she hears a soft-sounding and powerful singing voice. The song empowers both of them to "be heard" by everyone and also succeeds in the two of them gaining feelings for each other.
Lyrics[]
Hear my voice
As I'm calling out for you
Hear my voice
There are things I wish you knew
For even if my heart is strange
And hard to understand
I'll give all that I have for you
I'll help you take a stand
So, hear my voice
As I'm calling out for you
Hear my voice
There are things I wish you knew
So, hear my voice
Hear my voice
Hear my voice
Trivia[]
- The song has a similar melody to "Remember Me" from the Disney/Pixar film Coco.
- Coincidentally, the film also starred Jaime Camil (the voice actor for Don Karnage in this series) as the voice of Enrique Rivera.
