Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume is a touring exhibition themed around the costumes from the Walt Disney Archives. Similar to the Inside the Walt Disney Archives exhibit, this temporary exhibit showcases various costumes as well as jewelry used in various Disney productions telling the story of the costumes and jewelry used in many Disney productions.

The exhibit originally premiered at the 2019 D23 Expo, the biennial event of the fan club. It then made its first North American tour in the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, Washington

Exhibition[]

Heroes & Villains is an exhibit that showcases various costumes from various Disney productions which tell the story of the Walt Disney Archives and its legacy, showcasing various costumes worn by actors over the years. Throughout the exhibit, several costumes showcasing the exhibit include the White Queen and the Red Queen from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf from Into the Woods, Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother, Lady Tremaine, and Anastasia and Drizella from the 2015 remake of the film, Prince Edward, Giselle, and Queen Narissa from Enchanted, Cruella De Vil from the 1996 remake of 101 Dalmatians, Maleficent from the 2014 film the same name, Mary Poppins from the film of the same name and its 2018 sequel, Captain Hook from Once Upon a Time, Dorothy Gale from Return to Oz, Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, the costumes of Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Whatsit from A Wrinkle in Time, and many other costumes. Other props used in this exhibits aside from the dresses the actors wear include the tiaras worn by different versions of Cinderella from (the one from Into the Woods, the one from the 2015 remake, and the one from Once Upon a Time respectively), the Glass Slipper from the 2015 remake of Cinderella, and concept arts of costumes worn by actors used in other Disney films such as Summer Magic, Babes in Toyland, and others. Guests are able to enjoy viewing this touring exhibit highlighting various costumes from Disney properties over the years.
