Hertz Donut, also known as Experiment 022, is an illegal genetic experiment created by Jumba Jookiba and a character in the Lilo & Stitch franchise. He is designed to restrain and immobilize the target's movement with projectile donuts. First he asks, "Ever had a Hertz Donut?" He then fires energy which solidifies into a donut that constricts around the target and says, "Hurts, don't it?" He appears in the Stitch! anime.
Background
Experiment 022 was the 22nd genetic experiment created by Jumba with Hämsterviel's funding. He was designed to shoot donuts from his mouth that can restrain movements. 022 and the other first 624 experiments were deactivated and smuggled to Earth by Jumba during his mission to capture Experiment 626.
All of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai.
Physical appearance
Hertz Donut is a green seahorse-like experiment with bright purple eyes, a donut-like mouth, six ears, and a long curling antenna winding behind his head.
Special Abilities
Hertz Donut can confine and restrict movement by firing donuts at a target. He has the ability to speak fluently and hops instead of walks.

Stitch!
Hämsterviel gained possession of Hertz Donut under unknown circumstances and modified him to wreak havoc on his behalf. In the episode "Dorkifier", Hämsterviel intended to send Hertz Donut to capture Stitch but accidentally sent the pod for Dorkifier instead. After realizing his mistake, Hämsterviel finally sends Hertz Donut after Yuna and Stitch, who were already dealing with Dorkifier at the school. Hertz Donut only added to the chaos during a soccer match, but Stitch is able to defeat him. In "Shogun", it is shown that Hertz Donut was dehydrated back into an experiment pod and locked in Jumba's vault.
Trivia
- His name and function are a possible reference to the eponymous Hertz donut prank.
- Hertz Donut is one of the rare experiments to not have black eyes like most experiments, having bright purple eyes instead. However, he was entirely under Hämsterviel's control in his appearance. Since other experiments under Hämsterviel's possession in the anime tend to have their eyes diluted to show irises and/or sclerae, it is unknown whether or not Hertz Donut's own purple eyes being visible is a result of Hämsterviel controlling him or if it is a natural part of his appearance.
- Ironically, Spooky (when he appears transmutated) has the same eyes as Hertz Donut.
- Hertz Donut and Witch are the only two experiments that first appeared in Stitch!, but were not shown in their original (un-transmutated) form and whose real eye color is unknown.
- Hertz Donut, Sproing, Tickle-Tummy, Mary, and Cannonball are the only known experiments that mostly bounce when traversing land.
- Hertz Donut is one of the few known experiments that can speak fluently.
- Hertz Donut's pod color is red.
- Hertz Donut's English dub voice isn't credited in his only appearance. However, his English voice sounds like Ben Diskin using a lower, more phlegmy-sounding version of Stitch's voice.
