Plot

Wayne and the kids settle down to watch television during a big storm in town and he has invented a remote control that will bring any TV shows you could ever watch from the past to now. Somehow they get sucked into the TV so when Diane and the Chief come home and finds them in the TV they need to try to get Wayne and the kids out.

Trivia

• Diane is in the middle of a case, where a pet shop sold a man dead Norwegian Blue parrot. This is a reference to the famous Monty Python "Dead Parrot sketch".
• According to Wayne, the older brother on That Crazy Cooter grew up to be Alice Cooper. This is a reference to the rumor that Alice Cooper was former child actor Ken Osmond (who played Eddie Haskell on the TV show Leave It to Beaver).
• Sophomore Surgeon, M.D., is likely a parody of Doogie Howser, M.D..
