The song is heard in the movie itself when the Guardians are entering the Kyln. The song serves as the theme song to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and to the Guardians of the Galaxy themselves.
On episode 105 of Muppets Tonight, Johnny Fiama sings several bars of "Hooked on a Feeling" in a commercial for his Greatest Hits album, We Hardly Heard Ya. Sal Minella does the "ooga chackas" in the background, but Johnny gets frustrated when they throw him off.
