"How I Saved My Summer Vacation" (alternatively called "Callisto Family Holiday" in the UK) is the second segment of the third episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on February 6, 2015 alongside "Game On".

Plot[]

While in the Star Jetter, Miles and M.E.R.C. are practicing meteor ball, and Miles informs the Callistos about getting ready for playing that game on Alarbus. He then shows them how awesome it is with the orange sands and blue seas, and believes that this will be the best summer vacation ever. Loretta also finds out that there is more to Alarbus than water sports, as it also has alien ruins, which were discovered eons ago by an ancient race of aliens known as The Builders. Just then, the Callistos arrive on Alarbus, and Leo wonders where the blue sea has been.

After leaving the Star Jetter, a bellboy bot named Biff gets the Callistos' bags, causing them to follow him to the Alarbus resort, where they meet another robot. While she makes the reservations, Miles finds a gift shop. There, Loretta finds great hats, and Miles finds very old rocks only found on Alarbus. Miles decides to get one for his rock collection, and pays ten Galileos for it. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. wonder where the rock has been, and the robot says that the other robots found lots of them when they took over the resort a few years earlier. Just then, Leo informs everyone that they are all checked in, and go to the beach.

There, the Callistos find out that the blue sea is missing. When Leo asks a nearby robot where the ocean went, he quickly goes. Another robot offers them a massage, and Phoebe wonders what he will do. Afterwards, Ruggles, the activities-bot, approaches, and the Callistos ask him his schedule. Ruggles cancels pony rides and meteor ball, but leaves for the tour of the alien ruins. Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. decide to join Ruggles on the tour, and get starblock cream from Leo and Phoebe.

While on the tour, Miles wonders what happened to the oceans of Alarbus, and Ruggles says that sometime, it all dried up. When they arrive at the ancient ruins, Miles finds some writing, and when he checks it out, the ground unravels, and Miles, Loretta, Ruggles, and M.E.R.C. fall down a slide inside the ruins. Loretta finds more writing, and just as Ruggles stops her and decides to leave, he blows a fuse. Miles agrees to take him with them when Loretta gets a translation about what the writing means: "Beware. All ye who enter here." This confuses Miles, Loretta, and M.E.R.C. when two sand creatures appear. Thinking they are enemies, the three run until they come across a locked door. Miles tells the sand monsters to stay back when they say that they are not sand monsters. They introduce themselves as Melvin and Melinda, the Mendelson twins. Miles tells them how their tour has been before they got lost. Loretta says that the door is a dead end, but not for the Mendelsons, who use their sandform to go through the door. This amazes Miles, who wishes he could do that. The Mendelsons are amazed about how great the room is, and pull and push everything there is until the door opens.

Melinda then reads the writing on the caves without a Bracelex, stating that the Ancient Builders can turn the water on and off, and to control the water, you need to put a key on the lower floor. Miles wonders that the rock he got at the gift shop matches the drawing of one of the symbols. He fits it there, and the water starts flowing. However, Miles is unable to get back up after the ladder collapses, and the Mendelsons use their sandform to make a ladder for Miles to climb up. With the water still rising, Miles decides to get everyone out of here. He then comes up with an idea of using the wooden door as a boat, and uses his Lazerang to make it fall in the water. Everyone boards it, and are enjoying the ride until seeing a support for a bridge. Miles and everyone else lean away to avoid it, but afterwards, M.E.R.C. sees the end of the passageway. Miles then tells everyone to hang on, and they exit the cave back into the Alarbus resort.

Once there, the Mendelsons reunite with their mom and dad. The robots are pleased about the water coming back, and one wonders where it came from. Loretta and Miles inform them how the water gets turned on and off on Alarbus, and if they want to keep the ocean, they need to put the rocks they found at the gift shop back. M.E.R.C. then reminds Miles of Ruggles, and another robot puts a new fuse on him. Shortly afterwards, the Callistos put the rocks in their positions, returning the water to the planet. The Callistos then surf the ocean, with the Mendelsons riding a bucket that gets lifted by an umbrella.
