"How Long Must This Go On?" is a short song sung by the Beast in the Broadway musical, Beauty and the Beast. The song was written by Alan Menken and Tim Rice.
The Beast, after spying on Belle with his mirror, learns that she despises him, mostly for his prior mistreatment of her and Maurice. Knowing that the task ahead of him, winning her love, will be a near hopeless endeavor, he sulks in his quarters, and curses his actions that led to his monstrous form.
