How to Camp is a Mickey Mouse Works short from House of Mouse starring Goofy. It was originally featured in the episode "Halloween With Hades", with the aliens from the short making appearances in said episode.
Synopsis[]
While Goofy listens to an audiobook on how to camp, he is secretly abducted by aliens onto their spaceship. Being the goof that he is, Goofy wanders around, thinking this is the forest and he causes harm to the irritated aliens' spaceship.
Plot[]
The short starts with Goofy driving to Brownstone Park to camp. After a brief struggle with his arm stuck in his steering wheel, Goofy arrives at his destination with his camping gear all ready. He then listens to an audiobook, aptly named "How to Camp," which shows what to do when camping out in the forest. The first is setting up the tent, which Goofy does after another brief struggle with the tent's lining.
Later, a spaceship piloted by two spotted, one-eyed, one-armed, and one-legged aliens arrives at the campsite; their first assignment is to abduct Goofy. They bring Goofy in to their spaceship, along with his tent and the campfire. Waking up, Goofy looks at the interior of the spaceship and assumes it is still the forest. Following the audiobook's instructions, Goofy explores the spaceship while the two aliens observe him as their second assignment.
As Goofy explores the spaceship, the audiobook instructs him to touch the 'forest's' texture, which he does upon touching a lever. Unknown to him, the lever opens an overhead pipe, causing it to leak a green caustic liquid that burned a hole on the floor. This shocks the aliens and they head over to close the pipe. Per another instruction from the audiobook (which is climbing up a tree), Goofy climbs up a pylon, unknowingly pulling levers which sucks the aliens into a pressure activation chamber that, when activated, inflates the aliens' eyeballs, hands, feet, and bodies. While Goofy reaches to the top of the pylon, the aliens release the pressure by taking off their eyeballs. This leads to them rocketing out of the pressure chamber and past Goofy, who mistook their honks for those of migrating wild geese.
Goof returns back to his tent to take a nap while aliens go on to their last assignment: destroy Goofy. Arming themselves with a disintegrating laser gun, the aliens enter Goofy's tent, promtping Goofy to flee from them. The chase ends with Goofy hiding in the spaceship's cockpit and deciding to head back home and the aliens attempting to open the door with a key under the mat. Goofy drives the spaceship across the deep space, struggling to remove his arm which got in the steering wheel. Meanwhile, the aliens hang on for dear life. Once Goofy frees his arm, he notices that the spaceship is plummeting back to Earth as the aliens write a will in case they don't survive the crash. Thankfully, Goofy stops the spaceship just in time and he hops into his car to get away.
The episode ends with the spaceship crashing into ground, with the aliens reduced to piles of ash with their eyeballs intact.
