Hungry Hobos is an Oswald the Lucky Rabbit short that was first released on May 14, 1928. It was rediscovered in 2011.
Summary[]
The film follows the misadventures of Oswald and his roughneck pal, Putrid Pete, as they ride a freight car loaded with animals and devise ways to cook a meal using the tools at hand. When a policeman chases them off the train, the duo poses as a hurdy-gurdy man and a monkey as part of their escape.
Purchase by Disney[]
On March 23, 2012, Warren Spector confirmed that the "anonymous bidder" that bought the short for $31,250 was Disney. When Warren was asked if the short would appear in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Warren refused to comment.

- The short was auctioned off in December 2011 to an anonymous bidder which Warren Spector later revealed was The Walt Disney Company.
- This short premiered exactly a day before the first preview screenings of Plane Crazy.
- The short was released as a Disney Movies Anywhere exclusive short on the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs page.
