This article is about the character from Loki. For other characters, see Hunter.

Hunter D-90 is a character who debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Disney+ show Loki. He is a Hunter who was responsible for the pruning of Mobius, but he has since then redeemed himself and became an ally to the new TVA.

Background[]

Hunter D-90 previously had a happy life on the Sacred Timeline before he unknowingly created a nexus event and was captured by the Time Variance Authority and his timeline was destroyed. Instead of being pruned and sent to the Void like all other Variants, he was spared by He Who Remains, who erased his memories and gave him a job as a Minuteman. He eventually climbed the ranks to Hunter.

For a while, Hunter D-90 and the rest of the TVA's employees knew He Who Remains was the organization's founder and ruler. However, sometime after the Multiversal War ended, He Who Remains decided to erase the memories of his employees again, and created the Time Keepers. After this, his employees were told they and the TVA were created by the Time Keepers, unaware of the fact that they were mindless androids controlled by He Who Remains.

Physical appearance[]

Hunter D-90 is a Caucasian male whose typical attire consists of the standard uniform for Hunters. He also has a thin beard and black hair.

After a group of Minutemen were ambushed by a figure known as the Variant, Hunter B-15 introduced D-90 to a Loki Variant, who would help them track down the Variant.

Hunter D-90, along with a handful of Minutemen, Loki, and Mobius, arrived in a branched 1985 Wisconsin timeline, where the Variant's latest attack took place. B-15 insisted they reset the timeline, as it was reaching nexus event level, though Loki tried to stop them. Mobius realized that Loki was stalling, and they reset it.

Later, Loki developed a theory that the Variant was hiding out in apocalyptic disasters. D-90 was part of the group that went on a mission to test out Loki's theory at Roxxcart Mall in Haven Hills, Alabama. After some time, they found Hunter C-20, who had gone missing in the 1985 attack. After D-90 tried unsuccessfully to call B-15, they found her on the floor without Loki, who had been paired up with her. After seeing this D-90 believed Loki had betrayed them, and this belief only grew stronger as reset charges went off and they saw Loki leave through a Time door.

After Loki was captured, Hunter D-90, accompanied by Ravonna Renslayer, was tasked with questioning Mobius after Loki left his Time Cell. After Mobius began talking, Renslayer told D-90 to prune him, which he did.

Renslayer later called D-90, along with other Minutemen, to a courtroom as she was speaking with Sylvie (a.k.a. the Variant), where they would arrest her. As soon as they arrived, Sylvie jumped behind a desk. Renslayer told Sylvie to come out and talk, though under the condition that D-90 and the Minutemen left the room, to which Renslayer agreed. Shortly after, Sylvie decided to prune herself, leaving D-90 and the Minutemen confused.

Hunter D-90 later went on a mission to a school in 2018 Ohio, where he found Hunter B-15 and chased her down. She led him into the principal's office where Rebecca Tourminet, the principal, was. D-90 recognized her as Ravonna, though B-15 said that this was proof that all TVA employees were Variants, and not created by the Time Keepers.

After the truth about the TVA was found out, D-90 was called into the War Room to testify seeing Tourminet. After leaving, he saw Mobius, and apologized to him, saying he was only doing his job. Mobius accepted his apology, saying Renslayer was the one who should apologize.

After the meeting, D-90 saw General Dox and an army heading through a Time door. D-90 told B-15 and the others present.

D-90, along with a few others, were able to locate Dox, and arrest her, but not before she and her loyalists reset multiple timelines, which was now against the rules, as pruning a timeline resulted in countless deaths.

D-90 accompanied B-15 as she tried to convince Dox to help protect the TVA, though the attempt was unsuccessful. After leaving her cell, a power surge went through the building, and B-15 told him to keep an eye on a He Who Remains Variant named Victor Timely.

D-90 went down to Repairs and Advancement, where he met Timely. Mobius then entered the room with hot chocolate, which interested Timely. D-90 then accompanied Timely to the hot chocolate machine, where Timely offered some to D-90, who reluctantly accepted it, and took a drink. D-90 ended up liking it, though this was short-lived as right after another Hunter named X-5 pruned him, sending him to the Void.
