"I Wanna Dance with Some-Ollie" is the first segment of the twenty-fifth episode of the Disney Channel animated series The Ghost and Molly McGee. It premiered on April 29, 2023 alongside "Davenport's on Demand", and is the first segment of the fifth episode in the second season.

Synopsis

Molly's loyalties are tested when she goes to a school dance with Ollie.

Plot

The school is preparing for the Brighton Bop which is being spearheaded by Molly and Ollie. While preparing the decorations, Ollie asks Molly to the dance for "environmental" reasons, which she accepts. Scratch thinks it is a bad idea, especially since Ollie hunts ghosts, but Molly tells him that they are doing it for fun and are not on a date. Darry in the meantime managed to win a competition, though it is pretty obvious that he rigged it, to not only bring Atomic Pink to come play at the Brighton Bop, but he also begins to wait on them by offering them whatever they need for their show, including snacks and other necessitates, using his connections.

Ollie comes to pick up Molly to the dance with Scratch remaining hidden from the former. Upon arriving, Molly and Ollie's interactions cause the rest of the girls to assume that the two of them are officially dating as "Mollie", their names combined, but they casually play it down. Atomic Pink is being catered to, but when they ask Darryl if he has access to sundubu-jjigae, he begins to panic and starts becoming stressed from helping them out. The Brighton Bop officially announces the King and Queen Lemming (their version of prom king and queen) as Ollie and Molly, much to everyone's delight. Scratch becomes upset with Molly and she admits that she does indeed have a crush on Ollie, causing Scratch to storm out and get caught in a ghost trap.

During Atomic Pink's performance, they thank Darryl for tending to them, much to his relief while Molly shares a slow dance with Ollie, happy to be with him. However, Ollie's ghost radar goes off, indicating that one of his traps caught a ghost and Molly rushes outside to find Scratch and frees him from the trap. Ollie runs outside and spots Molly talking to Scratch (using a visor as he still cannot see ghosts) and overhears Molly vowing to stop seeing Ollie. Ollie is heartbroken and is picked up by his mom Esther as he sees Molly happily dancing away with Scratch. When Esther asks if there is anything he needs to say, Ollie remains silent on the matter.
