Ichabod's Horse is a character in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. In the original short story, by Washington Irving, his given name was Gunpowder.

Role in the film

He is a horse that Ichabod borrows to travel to the Van Tassel Farm for the Halloween Party and back home. Ichabod is first seen riding the horse the party and then at the end Ichabod is seen riding the Horse back home through Sleepy Hollow nervously after hearing the scary story of the Headless Horseman who rides through Sleepy Hollow every Halloween night looking for a new head. As Ichabod and his Horse ride through the woods they hear voices from frogs, owls, and crows screaming Headless Horseman! Headless Horseman! Headless Horseman! Beware! Beware! Beware! Ichabod then hears hooves and looks down at the horse's hooves to realize that it's not his hooves and believes that someone is following them and tries to push the horse but the horse too tired and scared doesn't move.
