The Idea Farmer (also known as Farmer Man) is a character who was cut from an early version of the 2015 Disney/Pixar animated feature film Inside Out. He was going to appear in the film, but was cut from the final version, due to the film having a major revision that resulted the scene where he was supposed to appear to be cut.

In the deleted scene "Farmer Man" originally included through the Target edition Blu-ray release of Inside Out (and in later digital releases of Inside Out), it showcased a sequence where the Idea Farmer would be a funny, yet entertaining character. The character would have been encountered in the scene where Joy, Sadness, and Bing Bong (in their finalized designs respectively) left Headquarters and ended up at the Idea Fields (a location that was also cut from the film) where they met him and his fellow farmhands in a plan for them to return to Headquarters to save Riley's life.
During the scene where Bing Bong, Joy, and Sadness were waiting on their way to return to Headquarters, the Idea Farmer approached them and asked them if they needed help, which they boarded on the truck. As Joy introduced herself and said that she was in a real hurry, the Farmer replied to her that he needed to get the ideas to his market, commenting on the sky negatively affected by Riley's depression. Joy then asked him if there was a bridge for them to cross, only to find out that there was no bridge for them to cross - unaware of the fog obscuring their way to Headquarters. Driving through the fog, Joy realized that the area the Farmer was driving was a one-way road, urging him to stop driving. Despite this, the Farmer would not listen and kept driving his truck, causing Joy, Sadness, and Bing Bong to feel uncomfortable.
According to director Pete Docter, he felt that the scene with the Farmer did not find it entertaining and funny for audiences as it turned out, deeming him redundant for the film's plot. As a result, the film's story was reworked, leaving him and the entire "Idea Fields" sequence being cut from the final version of the film.[1]

- The deleted scene where the Idea Farmer appeared in, "Farmer Man", was the only deleted scene from the entirety of all Inside Out presentations that originated from a version of the film resembling the finalized version; thus, this scene was the most recent one that was discarded from the final version of the film.
