ImageMovers (formerly South Side Amusement Company) was an American film company founded by Robert Zemeckis, the company produces computer animation, motion captures, and graphics.
History[]
On March 1, 1984, Robert Zemeckis incorporated and founded the company as South Side Amusement Company. The company was in-name only from the beginning.
In 1997, South Side Amusement Company was rebranded as ImageMovers, and hired, the Creative Artist Agency's employees Jack Rapke and producer, Steve Starkey to join the company. It was also announced that ImageMovers signed a non-exclusive feature film deal with DreamWorks Pictures. Alan Silvestri composed the ImageMovers fanfare for its opening logos.
In 2007, ImageMovers and The Walt Disney Company launches a joint venture animation studio named as ImageMovers Digital, which wentfully defunct in 2011.
