The Imperial Scouts are minor characters in Disney's 1998 animated feature film, Mulan.
Background
They are two unnamed scouts who were captured by the Huns. They consist of a man with facial hair and another without facial hair, wearing teal and tan armor separately. Not much of their personalities are known as they are known as scouts, who investigate what is going on around China.
Role in the film
After Shan Yu orders the Hun army to conquer China after raiding a faraway village, he orders some of his army members to look for any victims to which one of them tells their master they found the imperial scouts along the way. As Shan Yu approaches them, he congratulates them for finding the Hun army. They tell them that the Emperor of China is planning to stop the Huns from ruling China to which he denies telling them he invited him just as he confronts them about the Emperor who built the Great Wall to protect China from invaders. After Shan Yu allowed them to escape to warn the Emperor of China, he summons one of his archers to kill one of them. Their further fate is unknown, though it is likely they are either captured or killed by the Hun army.
