The Indian Camp is the side of Neverland , where the Indian Chief , Tiger Lily , and the Indians live in Peter Pan .
Appearances [ ]
Captain Hook considered searching the camp as a potential location for Peter Pan 's hideout, but changed his mind. He then gets the idea to kidnap Tiger Lily and interrogate her to reveal the location of Peter's home, as "those redskins know this island better than I do me own ship." Later, John , Michael and the Lost Boys are captured by the Indians and are brought to the camp, where they are accused of kidnapping Tiger Lily, and the Chief threatens them with being burned at the stake if she isn't returned by sunset.
After Peter rescues Tiger Lily from Hook, the Indians have a celebration honoring Peter where the Indians, plus the Darling children and Lost Boys, have a little party while singing "What Made the Red Man Red? ". Soon, Wendy starts to tire of the behavior towards her as a "Squaw" and for her jealousy in seeing Peter and Tiger Lily together, so decides to return to Hangman's Tree .
Though the Indians themselves do not appear, the camp itself makes a brief appearance when Jane and the others fly through Neverland.
The camp is one of the locations in Neverland, though like in other recent media, the Indians do not appear. It serves as a battlefield for a clash between Aqua and Vanitas .
The camp appears as a playable location in the video game, along with the Chief , Tiger Lily , and an Indian vendor.
Trivia [ ]
In many modern media, the camp often appears to be vacant with no Indians living or operating there (with the live-action remake Peter Pan & Wendy being the only exception). This is probably due to the controversy regarding racial stereotyping to the Indians in the original film.
