Insuricare is an insurance company that Bob Parr worked at before returning to the hero world.
Under the grip of the greedy, callous CEO of the company, Gilbert Huph, it was forbidden to aid potentially insured customers, although Bob usually attempts to help them get around loopholes. This has earned him some antagonism from Huph, who did not want to help his customers, although when directly asked about it, he tries to deny it, citing that the law requires him to.
One day, while in a meeting with Huph, Bob sees a man getting mugged right outside the window and tries to hale, but Huph threatens to fire him if he leaves the office. Seeing the mugger run off, Bob loses his temper and he snatches his callous boss by the throat before tossing him through five walls, badly injuring him, resulting in Huph being taken to the hospital and Bob being fired.
After the death of Syndrome, Mr. Incredible's former number one fan and sidekick, it is unknown if Gilbert Huph has been fired for his own corruption or Insuricare went out of business, while Bob remains unemployed.
In Incredibles 2, months after Bob is fired, Helen reminds him of his time at the company when she decides to become the family's new breadwinner for the Deavor siblings. Despite being fired, Bob still keeps a coffee cup with the company's logo on it.
Trivia
- The name is a spoof on "insurance", on how a practice or arrangement by which a company or government agency provides a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for payment of a premium.
- The symbol and slogan of the company are quite negative, since it represents a hand trying to snatch the Earth along with the slogan "your life is in our hands", in which it seems that the company wants to hold people's lives at their mercy.
