Jeffrey Jacob "J.J." Abrams is an American film and television producer, director, screenwriter, actor, and composer. He is best known for creating the television series Alias and Lost for ABC. He also has directed the films Mission: Impossible 3, Super 8, the 2009 Star Trek reboot and its sequels Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond.

Abrams directed, wrote and produced The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker.[1] He also produced The Pallbearer.

Long before Disney bought Star Wars, J.J Abrams had expressed his admiration of the Star Wars films. [2]
