Jake is a skater boy, whom Megan has a huge crush on. West Oak High's stolen hedgehog float is found in his garage and he admits that Penny may know about it can she was with them the night prior. He helps Megan, Paige, and Veronica get it back to West Oak High, by riding it to an alley where they meet up with them. After Megan fell into a dumpster, Jake helped her out of it. The two share a romantic moment in the basement where they talk about how they were both afraid to try new things. Jake was afraid to try out for basketball because he was afraid he wouldn't make the team, but he now plans on trying out. He allows Megan to hold on to his hoodie. They almost kiss, until Megan stops it and tells him they should keep cleaning the basement before Anna Maria's father comes home. As they part ways, Jake tells Megan she is "flutiful" and Megan goes back and kisses him.
