As Alice returns from Asia to London and reunites with her mother, James Harcourt approaches Alice's family; Alice explains that she encountered complications on the way back from Asia to London, explaining to Harcourt that the ledgers are in her cabin, requesting him to let Lord Ascot know that Alice should see him immediately to which he explains that Lord Ascot passed away when Alice was at sea as his title was passed to his son Hamish who is now channel of the board. Harcourt then leaves as Alice and her mother return home.
As Alice and her mother arrive at the Ascots' residence, Harcourt spies on her mother to which Alice plans to give a report to Hamish (who is to be referred as "Lord Ascot"). Later when Alice returns to the real world, Hamish tells Harcourt that Helen needs to sign the deed immediately to which Alice explains that Time is not an enemy, telling her mother to sign the deed immediately. Instead of signing the deed, she tells Hamish that Alice can do whatever she decides to choose. With Alice's company repossessed, Harcourt joins alongside Alice and her mother onboard the Wonder.
