James Monroe Iglehart

James Monroe Iglehart is an American theater actor, voice actor, and singer, who originated the role of the Genie in Aladdin the Musical. He won the Best Featured Actor role for the 2014 Tony Awards for his role as the Genie. Before Aladdin, he stared as Bobbie in Memphis the Musical. He is a true Disney fan, and a kid at heart, who spends a lot of time in Disneyland. He also voiced Lance Strongbow in Tangled: The Series, Bronzino in Elena of Avalor, and Taurus Bulba in the DuckTales episode, "Let's Get Dangerous!". He plays Weary Businessman/Baker in Disenchanted and also portrayed Phil in the stage adaptation of Disney's Hercules. In 2020, he also played Oogie Boogie for a virtual concert of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Outside of Disney, Iglehart has lent his voice to shows, like Nature Cat, Helluva Boss, Bubble Guppies, Blue's Clues & You!, and Hazbin Hotel. Apart from stage productions like Chicago, Hamilton, Memphis, The Wiz, and Spamalot; he has also made live-action appearances in television shows such as Smash, Gotham, The Marvelous Ms. Maisel, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
