James Todd Spader is an American actor, who is best known for his eccentric roles in films, including Pretty in Pink, Less Than Zero, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Crash, Stargate, and Secretary. He is also well-known for his television roles as Alan Shore in the ABC legal drama series The Practice from 1997 to 2004 and its spin-off Boston Legal from 2004 to 2008, and as Robert California in the American version of the comedy series The Office from 2011 to 2012. He currently stars as Raymond "Red" Reddington in NBC thriller series The Blacklist.
For Disney, he played William N. Bilbo in the 2012 Touchstone Pictures film Lincoln. He also portrayed Ultron in the 2015 Marvel action film Avengers: Age of Ultron.
