Janey was first seen watching her father, Mr. Man, about to go to work, and her father asked her if she could keep an eye out for their garden to make sure Br'er Rabbit couldn't steal any of the carrots. She then saw Br'er Rabbit trying to grab some carrots, and then they began talking to each other about each other. Then on the next day, when her father went away from their place and told her to not let Br'er Rabbit get his food. Until later, Br'er Rabbit heard that her father was coming, and then he tried to escape, but the trap fell on top of Br'er Rabbit as Mr. The man caught him and threatened Br'er Rabbit that he would soon be in a stew-pot for dinner.
