Jarabe Pateño is a musical score written by Jonás Yeverino Cárdenas in 1900. In Disney, the score is heard in the 1944 animated Disney film, The Three Caballeros. It is one of the most famous songs composed in Mexico from the state of Coahuila.
Background
The score can be heard during the part where Panchito, Donald, and José arrive in the Mexican state of Pátzcuaro where the three observe people doing the jarabe pateño, to which Panchito considers it his favorite dance from Mexico. During the score, live-action people dance in front of the three to which the three dance like what the people are dancing in the book. Afterwards, the three applaud for their performance as the Caballeros ride on the magic sarape again to travel to the state of Veracruz which loops into "Lilongo".
