Jason Michael Weaver is an American actor, voice actor, and singer. For Disney, he is best known for doing the singing voice of Young Simba in the 1994 Disney animated feature film The Lion King. He also played Marcus Henderson in the Disney television series Smart Guy.
Born in Chicago, Illinois; Weaver studied at Thornwood High School while also taking an interest in acting. One of Weaver's earliest acting roles was on Oprah Winfrey's 1990 television series Brewster Place. He is, however, best known for his role as Jerome Turrell in the short-lived ABC sitcom Thea. He also played a preteen/teenage Michael Jackson in the 1992 ABC miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream.
Also a recording artist, Weaver has released his music as well as collaborated with artists such as Chingy and T.I.
