Jeffrey Lynn "Jeff" Goldblum is an American actor and musician, whose career began in the mid-1970s and he has appeared in major box-office successes, including The Fly, Ian Malcom the first two films of the Jurassic Park franchise, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Independence Day and its sequel. He starred as Detective Zach Nichols on the USA Network crime drama series Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2009 to 2010. He also voiced Aaron in the 1998 DreamWorks animated film, The Prince of Egypt.

For Disney, he played Donald Ripley in the 1996 Hollywood Pictures film, Powder and Alistair Hennessey in the 2004 Touchstone Pictures film, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Outside of Disney, he appeared on Sesame Street, playing Bob's adventurous brother, Minneapolis Johnson, a spoof of Indiana Jones.

He was mentioned in the The Muppets episode "Hostile Makeover". He also plays Grandmaster in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok. In addition, he is the host of the Disney+ original series The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
