Jeff Kaplan is the father of the late William Kaplan and the wife to Rebecca Kaplan, who appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making his first appearance in Agatha All Along.

Jeff met and married a woman named Rebecca Kaplan, and they had a son together who was born in 2010, named William Kaplan. Rebecca and Jeff raised their son in Eastview, New Jersey with a Jewish background and were very caring to their son.

Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan first appear in episode 6, "Familiar by Thy Side", When William has reached the age of 13 in 2023. Rebcca and Jeff throw their son a Bar Mitzvar to celebrate him becoming a young man. However, the Westview anomaly is happening and the party is interrupted and everyone has to leave. On their way home, the family get into a car crash, which unknown to Rebecca and Jeff, unfortinately results in William's death, and the parents rush over as police come to check on the family. Jeff and Rebecca ask for help as they notice William is not breathing properly and Jeff notices the Wstview police driving by. Jeff gets out the car and asks Alice Wu-Gulliver for help while Rebecca tries to get out of the car. While this is happening, Billy Maximoff, the son of the Scarlet Witch locates the deceased's body and reincarnates, reviving William's body. Jeff returns to the car with Alice, noticing their "son" has woken up and they take him to the Eastview hospital, unaware of what really happened to William.
During this time, Rebcca and Jeff become very protective of their "son" as they don't know what had really happened. Within the next 3 years, Jeff and Rebecca becone supportive of Billy's relationship with a boy named Eddie, after their son comes out to them. Rebecca and Jeff then return again in the episode "Follow Me My Friend / To Glory at the End" where Billy returns home to Eastview after walking the Witches' Road with Agatha Harkness and her coven. Rebecca and Jeff are relieved to know their son is home safe as they ask him where he has been because he has been gone a full 24 hours, although it's unknown what he tells them.
