Jefferson in Paris is a 1995 historical drama film directed by James Ivory, from a script by Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, and starring an ensemble cast with Nick Nolte as Thomas Jefferson.

Synopsis

Thomas Jefferson, then a US minister to France, is a widower and tries to carry on. As he arrives in Paris with his two daughters, he starts two trysts: one with a married Italian artist, and one with an enslaved maid.
