Jennifer Lynn Lopez, commonly referred to as J.Lo, is an American actress, singer-songwriter, dancer, and producer. In 1991, she appeared as a Fly Girl dancer in the Fox sketch comedy series In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. She is best known for starring in a variety of films, including portraying the titular character of the 1997 biographical musical drama film Selena (in which she received a Golden Globe nomination), as well as appearing in other films, such as Anaconda, Out of Sight, The Wedding Planner, and Maid in Manhattan. She is also well-known for voicing Azteca and Lucy Tucci in DreamWorks' Antz and Home (respectively) and Shira in Blue Sky's Ice Age franchise. Additionally, she will produce an untitled animated film adaptation of Bob the Builder.

For Disney, she posed as Princess Jasmine in "Where a Whole New World Awaits" in the Disney Dream Portrait Series. She also played Miss Marquez in the 1996 Hollywood Pictures film Jack, Gertie Steiney in the 2004 Miramax film Jersey Girl, and Paulina in Shall We Dance? She was also an early inspiration for Esmeralda in the 1996 Disney animated feature film The Hunchback of Notre Dame[citation needed] and was mentioned in an episode of Lab Rats: Elite Force. Additionally, she produced the Freeform drama series The Fosters.
