Jennifer and Jasmine are characters featured in the 2020 Disney+ original film Black Beauty.
Background[]
Jennifer and Jasmine are two girls who live in New York, often gossiping with each other. They would occasionally appear in certain areas at Birtwick Stables or Earlshall Park commenting about the actions they see or notice such as Jo Green working at Birtwick or Georgina Winthorp injuring herself during a horse race albeit in a verbal way rather than doing actions to them. In spite of this, they are shown to have an interest with George Winthorp in certain occasions where he appears like whenever they see him from a distance or when they watch him ride Ginger during a race at Earlshall Park during a social gathering.
Role in the film[]
When Jo Green is assigned to do a task in Birtwick Stables by her uncle John Manly in cleaning Black Beauty's pen, Jennifer and Jasmine stare at Jo, commenting on her duty in cleaning the horses, which Jo overhears. Jo, however, pushes Jennifer into a pile of hay, as Jo thinks she is insulted, which Jasmine reacts in shock, just before the two leave. Later when the Winthorp family arrives at Birtwick, Jasmine tells Jennifer that George Winthorp has arrived just as the two continue to gossip about his arrival. As Jasmine urges Jennifer to talk to George, Jasmine changed her mind, telling Jennifer that it was a useless idea just before they leave.
Jennifer and Jasmine are later seen watching George riding on Ginger during a social gathering at Earlshall Park which they applaud him for his victory; however, after Georgina and Beauty both injured each other during a race while Jo worries in panic, Jennifer comments to Jasmine about Georgina's injuries just before Mrs. Winthorp sell Beauty to Terry. They do not appear again afterwards, even after Beauty was reunited with Jo seven years later.

- While they are never named in the film, it was later figured out in an interview with Sacsha Natasi who confirmed that one of the two girls who visit the Birtwick Stables often gossiping with each other is Jennifer (which Natasi played) and the other one whom Jennifer hangs out with is Jasmine.[1]
