The Jets are a group of gang members featured in the 2021 live-action feature film West Side Story. Based on the Montagues from the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, they are rivals with another street gang called the Sharks.

The Jets are a local white street gang headed by Riff who own the streets of New York City. While out enjoying the day, they encounter members of another Puerto Rican street gang called the Sharks led by Bernardo, and a fight breaks out but is quickly broken up. The Jets decide to challenge the Sharks to a rumble, or fight, the winner of which will gain undisputed control of the neighborhood. The challenge is to be issued at a dance being held that evening in a gym. Riff asks Tony, who cofounded the Jets with him but has since left the gang to work as a stock boy at a store run by Valentina to act as his partner in issuing the challenge, and Tony agrees.[1]
