John Lee Hancock, Jr. is an American screenwriter, film director, and producer. He is best known for directing films such as The Blindside and also Snow White and the Huntsman.

For Disney, he directed the 2002 sports drama film The Rookie, the 2013 biography film based on the making of Mary PoppinsSaving Mr. Banks, and wrote the 2014 film Maleficent.
