Jonathan Charles "Jon" Turteltaub is American film director, producer, screenwriter. For Disney, he directed several live-action films, such as Cool Runnings, The Kid, the National Treasure series, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice as well as the Touchstone Pictures films 3 Ninjas, Phenomenon, and Instinct, and Hollywood Pictures' While You Were Sleeping.
Turteltaub was born in New York City and graduated from Wesleyan University and the USC School of Cinematic Arts. While he gained mainstream success with his work with Disney, he directed films, such as Think Big, Last Vegas, and The Meg. He also produced and directed episodes for television shows, such as Jericho, Common Law, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon.
