John "Jonathan" Pryce, CBE (born June 1, 1947) is a Welsh stage and film actor and singer who played Mr. Dark in Something Wicked This Way Comes, Marty Bronson in Bedtime Stories, and Weatherby Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.

- Pryce was intially considered to play René Belloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark along French singer Jacques Dutronc and Italian actor Giancarlo Giannini.[1] However, Paul Freeman was cast instead at the end.
