Julius Caesar (also simply known as Caesar) was a Roman general and politician who was a dictator and ruled over the Roman Empire between 46 and 44 BC. He was also known for being a lover of Cleopatra, with them having a son named Caesarion.
In Disney media, he was spoofed by Genie in Aladdin and the animated series. Several media has also been released based on the namesake play written by William Shakespeare, of which is also named after him, which includes a line of postage stamps released in 1990 under the Mickey's Shakespeare Company name that depicted characters from the Mickey Mouse universe portraying the characters and the Disney Videos website also released an animated short titled Julius Caesar - Last Minute Book Reports. Additionally, The Haunted Mansion features a character known as "Great Caesar's Ghost", of which is also based on him.
