"Junked" is the second segment of the twelfth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on April 24, 2015 alongside "Unplugged".

Plot[]

Miles is eating some cosmic crackers while reading a comic book, and saves the last one for M.E.R.C. Miles is about to throw the package into the garbage when Leo takes it. He says that it does not need to be tossed, as it can be used for Leo's newest invention: the Recycle-izer. It can convert trash into energy. The invention works when you put the trash inside, press the green button, and the trash is diverted directly into electricity that can power anything. This impresses Miles, who does not believe that they will have to take out the trash again. However, this version of the Recycle-izer works on small stuff, and Leo will need a lot of help to make a Recycle-izer big enough to get rid of all of the garbage. Stella informs them of a call from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

Admiral Crick, who is eating a banana, thinks he threw out all of the trash, but Watson reminds him that moving the trash to Watson's side of the room is not throwing it out. The Admirals have an urgent mission for the Callistos. Crick describes it as a messy mission, or "mession" for short, and laughs, but Watson tells him not to. He states that for some reason, alarming amounts of space junk are collecting around Planet Alarbus. This concerns Miles, who wonders if his friend, Ruggles, and all of the other robots are okay. The Admirals have been unable to contact the planet, which is why the Callistos need to find out what is going on. Crick finishes his banana, and throws it into the trash, which falls over. Watson reminds Crick to take out the trash as the transmission ends. Phoebe realizes that hitting the tiniest piece of space junk can wreck a whole starcruiser, and Loretta wonders what a planet-sized mess can do. The Callistos then set course for Alarbus.

Miles is unable to contact Ruggles. He wonders how bad it could be to have a lot of space junk when the Callistos see Alarbus, which is surrounded by trash. Loretta also finds out through her Bracelex that the gravity of the planet is pulling the trash towards it. This is the reason why no one can contact Alarbus: all of the junk is blocking com signals. Leo decides to make a way to the planet by using the Flash Beams.

Miles and Loretta successfully use the Flash Beams to create a hole big enough for the Star Jetter to go through. Miles wonders if this is Alarbus, the vacation planet, and Leo assumes that anyone taking a vacation there would need a vacation from their vacation. Phoebe sees that all of the junk is blocking light and heat from reaching the planet's surface. Ruggles arrives, and realizes that with the space junk blocking everything, the robot's batteries can not charge up, and the robots fall asleep. Just then, the area the Callistos are gets darker, and Ruggles sleeps, as well. Miles assures him that they will find out what is causing all of this.

Loretta finds out through her Bracelex that space junk comes from old pieces of starships and satellites, but the junk she sees looks like what is on the floor of Miles' room: a mess. Leo and Phoebe realize that this is what they would see if a very big trash can is dumped out. Miles and M.E.R.C. decide to take the Photon Flyer to find out what is going on. They narrowly avoid the space junk, and once they escape, they find something they need to tell their parents about.

Loretta sees that it is a wormhole, which is a portal to another part of space. Miles assumes that the junk is coming to Alarbus from somewhere else. The Callistos make their way through the portal, which Miles says is blastastic, but Loretta disagrees. Phoebe finds out through her display that they are on Planet Fastidious, where Ambassador Titus, who hates trash, lives. Leo directs the Star Jetter away from a piece of junk being launched by some kind of catapult, and knows where the space junk is coming from.

The Callistos wonder who could make this much trash when Ambassador Titus arrives. The Callistos tell him that they are here for the yucky trash, and Titus assumes that they have come to the wrong place. Miles says that he is launching the trash through a wormhole, but he has to stop. Titus says it is preposterous, as this is how the keep the planet clean. He continues that the planet's trash dumps were overflowing, and it was disgusting. As a result, they toss their trash through the wormhole, and believe that it disappears. Phoebe shows a display about where the trash is "disappearing" to, and once Titus realizes that it is Alarbus and he is hurting the Callistos' friends there, Titus tells a Fastidian to stop the trashapult.

The Fastidian says that they can not leave the trash on Planet Fastidious. The Callistos suggest that Titus reduce, reuse, and recycle, and Miles has a perfect idea: the Recycle-izer. Since it is too small, Titus comes up with an idea of banding together all of the Fastidians to create the largest Recycle-izer in the galaxy. After it is finished, Miles activates it, and once the trash goes inside, the city powers on. Titus then realizes that trash has a useful purpose. Since all of the trash is still on Alarbus, Titus tells the Fastidians to load the contraption onto their biggest ship, and Recycle-ize the garbage.

Eventually, all of the trash is clear from Alarbus, and the robots are all charged up. Ruggles thanks the Callistos and Titus for saving their planet. Miles makes another test for the mini-Recycle-izer, and successfully throws the package there before being throwed up into the air by the robots.
