"Just Jen" is the sixth episode of the Disney+ streaming television series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and was released September 22, 2022. It was written by Kara Brown and directed by Anu Valia.
Synopsis[]
Jen is a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding, a stressful event compounded by uniquely She-Hulk issues.
Plot[]
Jennifer Walters looks over a box with her name on it. When she opens it, confetti sprays out inviting her to a wedding as a bridesmaid. Nikki Ramos tells her she wants to see Luke Jacobson's super suit, but Walters takes out Jacobson's dress that he made for her. She-Hulk arrives at the wedding and quickly takes all the spotlight. The bride, Lulu, tells Walters that she wants "just Jen", not She-Hulk.
Meanwhile, Mallory Book meets with Craig Hollis, who insists his name is Mister Immortal. He has a divorce case. He talks about wanting to walk into traffic to get rid of the marriage, claiming he is immortal and won't die. He wants to do this because he thinks it will be less of a toll on his wife than if he divorced her. Book and Ramos rip him apart about how his spouse grieving over a death would be worse. He then interrupts them by running out the window, seemingly falling to his death. Book and Ramos look over the ledge to see Hollis alive after landing on a car, smashing it.
At the wedding, Titania arrives and Walters warns her not to get involved because this is her personal life. Titania tells her she has a friend there. She then talks with Lulu before reminding Walters that not everything is about her. Outside, Walters meets the groom's friend, Josh Miller. Lulu then walks out telling Walters that her team quit because of how she was treating them and asks for help.
During a meeting with many of his multiple wives, one of Hollis' wives talks about how Mister Immortal faked his death multiple times. She found the video of it on a website called Intelligencia. Book angrily talks to Hollis about his multiple fake identities and other damages caused by faking his death. His wife that he was with for eighteen years argues that she should get more money than the rest because she was with him the longest. Soon, Ramos is able to swoon the wives with their deals.
Back at the wedding, Walters simply dances then gets drunk. She then drunkenly calls Bruce Banner, but he doesn't pick up. Miller then sits next to her and they talk. She starts going on about She-Hulk before having the leave suddenly, vomiting on the floor outside. Titania walks up behind her and punches her. However, Walters refuses to turn into She-Hulk. Titania baits her until she decides to do so, but is so drunk that she forgets how to turn. She then concentrates harder and turns into She-Hulk, engaging in a fight. Titania falls over and embarrasses herself so much that she ruins her teeth and leaves on her own. Lulu arrives in the room, but instead of bring mad, she is so drunk that she thinks it is cool.
Back at the office, Ramos looks up Intelligencia and finds many trolls and threats about She-Hulk. Ramos wants to tell Walters, but Book warns her that she didn't need that in her head. Ramos tells Walters anyways by calling her, even though Walters doesn't pick up because she is eating french fries with Miller. Meanwhile, scientists at a lab secretly spy on Walters and Miller, while putting together a concoction of needles in a metal case.
